It sits and stares with narrowed eyes,
A furry sphinx, both still and wise.
It watches every move I make,
For goodness, or for evil's sake.

I feel my flaws, my every sin,
Reflected from deep within.
This tiny god, with velvet paws,
Is finding all my mortal flaws.
